Gerhard Fritz Kurt Schroder
Former Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany
On 7th April 1944, Gerhard Fritz Kurt Schroder was born in Mossenberg, in what is now North Rhine-Westphalia.
From 1966 to 1971, Schroder studied law at the University of Gottingen.
On 13rd June 1990, Schroder became Minister-President of Lower Saxony as head of an SPD-Greens coalition.
From 1998 to 2005, Schroder served as Chancellor of Germany and a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). |
